My friend, coworker, and co-host, Miranda Priddy designed it after the most resilient songbird, the Wren. Unlike other birds that fly away when the weather changes, these little things simply adapt to their changing environments. This is a mighty example for us spiritually-attuned go-getters who adore the chase and the challenge of goals.
Secondly, one of my favorite pieces of scripture is Matthew 6:26 when Jesus gives us a lesson being fully present/being mindful with the example of being like the birds who do not worry about tomorrow.
And the final reason, to wrap up this lovely rule-of-three, is that the matriarch in my family, Ola Lee Richardson (Momma Pig), highly enjoyed birds and our family shouts out, “Channeling the pig!”, whenever a bird flies close to us. 😛
Along with sharing the motive behind my new brand (Thanks to my marketing coach, Shannon Sigler, for designing it!), I wanted to share with you that I will be taking a break from blogging to focus on my second book and our recently launched podcast, The Listening Chair.
My second book will hopefully read like Tina Fey’s “BossyPants” had a head-on collision with Donald Miller’s “Blue Like Jazz”. It will be on the rush and respite of chasing goals and written for all my fellow spiritually-attuned go-getters. I plan to submit it to publishers in the Spring of 2019.
Our podcast explores dreams jobs and divine nudges through the lenses of folks from all life-stages and career paths. Get cozy with us now at Podbean, Stitcher, Itunes, and GooglePlay.
I’d love to stay connected with you regarding when my second book drops and (most importantly) any other way that I could be a cheerleader or soundboard to you, so click ‘Join the Conversation’ at the above tab and let’s stay in touch.
